About Post-Conviction Relief
Under general supervision, serves as a paralegal in the PCR section.
Assists with circuit court cases, including but not limited to drafting returns to applications and other collateral review actions, along with any related motions and/or proposed orders for review by attorneys within the Post-Conviction Relief Section.
This includes reviewing the entire record of the general sessions proceeding, the direct appeal proceeding, any prior collateral actions, and any necessary discovery to prepare cases for hearing or summary dismissal in circuit court.
Assisted with appellate court cases, including but not limited to reviewing the record, researching applicable case law, and drafting appellate pleadings as requested by and for the review of attorneys within the Post-Conviction Relief section.
Assists attorneys during court proceedings with taking notes and maintaining the exhibits, etc.
Assists with other assigned duties upon request.

Special Requirement: A Paralegal Certificate or an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies required.
Additional Requirements:
Position may require overnight travel.
Position may be required to transport files.
