This position is located at the Department of Mental Health Crafts-Farrow, 7901 Farrow Rd, Columbia, SC 29203.
The Food Service Specialist I (TRAYLINE) performs mainly in the portioning area of trayline.
The duties include plating food for the Department of Mental Health - Nutritional Services department.
Performs all duties in compliance with department, local, state and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities for the Food Service Specialist I (Trayline) include but are not limited to:
Prepares, portions, and assembles meals per menu specification.
Provides services required in a pleasant, helpful, and positive manner to demonstrate positive customer service.
Performs food service and other tasks assigned.
Complies with the uniform and hygiene policy of Nutrition Services.
Performs all duties, adhering to patient privacy and patients "Bill of Rights" standards and requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed or as required in order to meet the needs of the patients of Food & Nutrition Services.
There are no minimum training and experience requirements for this class.
Physical ability to manually lift 40 lbs.
Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, pull, push, climb stairs or stand for extended periods of time.
May encounter temperatures ranging from 20 degrees F to 400 degrees F around equipment.
This is an essential position during an emergency.
