We are currently searching for an Operations Dispatcher to join our Lexington, SC team! This position is in a fast paced environment that requires the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing circumstances rapidly.

Primary job duties of the Operations Dispatcher include:
Ensures efficient, daily execution of dispatch and planning processes in order to meet customer requirements as well as organizational goals.
Things will change at a moment’s notice causing you to make split second decisions and adjustments then relay those changes to teammates, drivers, and customers with real time problem solving.
Serves as first point of contact, answering phone calls from drivers, customers and other internal or external business partners.
Proactively and accurately places outbound calls and emails to provide updates on driver arrival, departure, detention, or rescheduling.
Relaying breakdowns to the maintenance department.
Plans, builds, and finds shipments for drivers to ensure the fleet has adequate volume to meet revenue targets each month.
Updates shipment status on customer portals throughout the day.
Anticipates, accepts, appoints, and dispatch shipments in TMS.
Identifies opportunities to optimize driver productivity and customer satisfaction through routing efficiencies.
Makes decisions about daily workflow issues and proposes solutions as needed.
Monitors driver time off requests to maintain accurate availability and compliance of the driver workforce.
Serves as part of the rotational after hours dispatch team.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma is required
Experience working with drivers is preferred
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations including but not limited to Hours of Service
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Strong customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal communication, problem solving and customer service skills are a must
Experience using standard office equipment and Microsoft Office Applications such as Word and Excel are a must
Experience using Dispatch Software and DAT a major plus
Highly organized in prioritizing work, multi-tasking and consistently meeting deadlines within a fast-paced work environment
Hard working, people person, who likes to solve problems and who is able to deal with high phone call volume and answering the phone

Pay Range: Based on experience ($40,000 - $60,000)
