Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance, support, and supervision to campers throughout the duration of the camp
- Plan and lead various activities and programs for campers, including sports, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times
- Assist with meal times, ensuring that campers are eating properly and following any dietary restrictions or guidelines
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Collaborate with other camp staff to create a fun and engaging experience for all campers
- Serve as a role model for campers by demonstrating positive values and behaviors
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a camp setting, daycare, or similar environment
- Knowledge of Christian counseling principles and the ability to incorporate them into daily interactions with campers
- Sports coaching experience is a plus
- Ability to educate and assist campers with special needs or learning disabilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- First aid certification is preferred, Must agree to getting certified if not already
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors in a calm and effective manner
- Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work well in a team
